As we continue our blog series on the many names of God take a moment to reverence God as Yahweh Yireh or as many say Jehovah Jireh.
The Hebrew word Yireh (Jireh) means “to see”, the well-established thought behind our God providing for us is that He first sees what we need.
We are not praying or trusting in mere man to foresee our every need but we entrust such a demand to the one who not only sees our forever need but who also is the Source of every resource we could ever need.
Commonly, we are more apt to readily thank Yahweh Yireh for providing the resources for our laundry list of needs however ponder a moment the things that we naturally forget to thank God for that He is Sourcing on our behalf beforehand.
Some of those things are:
Breath in our lungs
Filtration and flow of blood
Right mind
Faculty of mind
Mobility in our members
Shelter remaining on its foundation
A climate conducive to comfort
And many many more!
Scripturally we find one of the most notable accounts of Yahweh Yireh in the story i Genesis where Abraham is commanded to sacrifice Isaac. I can’t imagine what Abraham may have been praying in that moment but we know that Yahweh Yireh sourced the need. He provided beforehand a ram in the bush!
How many times has Yahweh Yireh sourced your ram in the bush?
Knowing God as Yahweh Yireh goes beyond praying that God would provide a resource but it requires intentionally knowing Him as your EVERY SOURCE!
He not only thought of but He saw of ALL that we would need BEFOREHAND that we would confidently rely upon Him as The Lord who WILL PROVIDE!
I encourage you today tell look upon any and every situation or circumstance and prophesy to it that YAHWEH YIREH WILL PROVIDE ‼️
You don’t have to have any of the details you simply have to CONFIDENTLY TRUST WITHOUT DOUBT that HE IS NOT A MAN THAT HE SHOULD LIE.
Take some time today to reverence the Lord for His supreme capacity to be ALL THAT YOU CAN EVER NEED.
Until next read,
Waiting well
