El Shaddai, God Almighty

God is so big, how can we know Him?! We KNOW Him through study and intimacy!

By these, we explore God as El Shaddai, God Almighty.

To unpack this divine understanding of God understand first the term ALMIGHTY.

Almighty means:

Having complete power; omnipotent, having unlimited power, infinite or boundless power, possessing all power, being unlimited of might, being of boundless sufficiency, great, extreme, all-powerful are a small glimpse of the word encompassed.

Oftentimes we cannot KNOW God in a fullness or experience Him in His supremacy because we’ve not appropriately applied His divine nature in its many dimensions.

Knowing God as El Shaddai requires us to apply the TRUTH that God is indeed the Beholder of ALL power and might!

To truly know God as El Shaddai, we cannot “think” that He has the power and might to do, be, contend with, and fashion all things but we MUST know this without doubt or uncertainty!

Throughout scripture, we read of one biblical figure after another retelling their experiential knowledge of God as El Shaddai.

For many there is a partial belief in God and His power, might and ability to create everything from nothing however because of the disappointments and sorrows of life our vision and therefore our perspective of God becomes askew.

Our belief in and about God shapes our ability to experience heaven on earth NOW as God intended before the foundation of the world. When we were formed from the dust what God had in mind was to create a people who would worship Him in His many dimensions, one being El Shaddai.

Above the term almighty has been outlined. How and how often have you applied the revelation that God is unlimited of might and boundless in His sufficiency?

We’ve all heard the phrase “God has all power in His hands”, this is believable until circumstance challenges this truth. When God does not respond how we think He should to sickness, affliction and hardships the truth of His power in our fallible understanding diminishes.

The hard truth is God does not changes BASED UPON CIRCUMSTANCE!

Good, or bad He is EL SHADDAI! Sorrow or joy, He is EL SHADDAI, prosperity or adversity, He is EL SHADDAI!

When we truly KNOW Him in this dimension we will no longer apply situation and circumstance to Him but we will apply Him to situation and circumstance!
