PARENTING HOLINESS AGAINST WORLDLINESS

In this perverse age, parenting is and is continuing to be more complex as we get further and further down God’s prophetic timeline.

The direction of the world factors majorly in households of all sorts from nation to nation. The American household in many 2nd and 3rd world countries has been the model for what is and is not acceptable and while this is most certainly changing, up until this point this was the standard.

As believers who not only believe but walk after the ways of Christ, this poses much conflict. Within our constitution, we’ve been given the foundation for apostolic and Christian living. The foundation of our republic or democracy as many may know it was predicated outwardly on “In God We Trust”. Now, this phrase suggests that if we’re trusting in God, surely we must be walking after His ways and holding ourselves to His standards of living, moving, and having our being but what we have realized is that that suggestion has not proved its actuality as we investigate the product of a nation that trusts in God.

The phrase uses the title “God” capitalized rather than lowercased, to represent some other deity but using this literary format allows us to conclude which God we are referring to. So we cannot ask “which god” because there are indeed many “gods” but only one God.

From the genesis of the family dynamic God intended for a family unit to be structured a specific way to which we know He did not leave open to interpretation. This unit produced God’s divine hierarchy of God as the head of man, man the head of women, and children subordinate to the instruction of their Godly shepherds.

We can truly go as far back as the children of Israel asking for a king to help us understand how we’ve become so warped and distorted that the original prototype of a family unit that God designed is now struggling or at the very least challenged with remaining untouched in its formation.

Scripture says, there is nothing new under the sun and because this prophecy can never be voided we simply cannot blame knowledge increasing itself and the enemy attacking the body of Christ alone for the world as we experience it. While these two things are true they are only part and parcel of our true issue.

Desiring some other king to be our spokesperson erected evil in our hearts. It revealed our deep-rooted desire not to be led by the way that Almighty God had established His eternal will for His creation.

Fast forward to, household structures have what many would call “evolved” but it’s not evolved it's “regressed”. We’ve challenged God’s hierarchy at every juncture. From His divine prototype of man, woman, and then children to same sex marriages and children dominating and intimidating single and two-parent households.

The onset of this debauchery is TOLERANCE! The moment we tolerated what God told us not to accept, legal rights were given to strategic demonic and diabolical agendas carried out by principalities and their lesser-ranking spirits.

What does this recipe produce in the area of parenting? What we have accepted and tolerated has infiltrated and permeated every area of living. The hard truth is, this is punishment and judgment for not speaking out against what we were to be intolerant of.

Knowing the mind of God prohibits us from partnering with evil agendas masquerading as equality.

Many families are battling with principalities unaware. Demonic princes that have been assigned to regions to wreak havoc and multiply perversion are enticing our children and antagonizing our marriages.

As blood-bought believers who walk after the way of Christ, our model has not changed! We must continue to carry holiness. We must push back against the agenda and gates of hell that are vying for our inheritances. Our posterity is in covenant with Almighty God!

Remaining flint-faced and steadfastly planted fully fitted in the whole armor of God, separated unto God is STILL RIGHT!

Our constitution says that Christ came to bring a sword and that will shake households but we are not utterly consumed. As parents who are commissioned to train our children up in the way that they should go, we rest assured in the prerequisite that when they depart the training should have produced in them a roadmap back to Christ!

Let me offer encouragement to those whose homes have been severed in two by the sword of Christ or whose son or daughter is prodigal or whose spouse is wayward, our Triune God has had this all strategized from before the foundation of the world! KEEP GUARD, KEEP PRAYING, KEEP TRUSTING, REMAIN RELENTLESS IN THE FACE OF SIN AND PERVERSION!!

The remnant of God has all of Heaven’s backing!
