THE GREAT PHYSICIAN

ree

The Great Physician | Matthew 9:12

From the beginning of creation until its end, it has been God’s will for us to have need of Him in every area of our lives.

As we accelerate in age and appearance, we become interdependent yet always dependent on God. It’s a dangerous place of the mind to think that you’re well, even in your wholeness, you will always need God as the great physician!

Matthew 9:12 says:

”When Jesus heard that, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.“

Here Jesus is speaking to the Pharisee in this biblical account and on the surface Jesus saying that He did not come for the righteous, but rather the sinner may be perceived, as those who already knew Him were not the ones He came into the earth for, but rather He came only for the sinner who needed salvation.

As I read and studied this, I realized a major shift was needed. If ever one settles into the thought that Jesus is only calling on those who are sinners miss Jesus‘s point just as the Pharisees did.

I thank God daily for my salvation yet I still need a physician! Do you? As I read this verse I could not think of , nor imagine not having a need of the Great Physician.

That said what is verse 12 really implying to us? Those such as the Pharisee and the Pharisee Spirit firmly believe that they are well... Do you know of anyone who is presumably healthy, calling out to their physician daily? I don't! This divine parable was not merely about the righteous, but more appropriately, the self-righteous.

The Pharisee could not receive from our incarnate God, because in their limited thinking, they were well having no need of the Great Physician.

We would do well to remember that we’re housed in sin, with an unending need of spiritual medical attention from our Great Physician.

Sadly, in the body of Christ we see a remnant of people who have been saved, healed and delivered and now function only in Word without the Spirit because of this Pharisee mentality.

I believe firmly that we can be whole and still know without doubt that we have a daily need of God as our Great Physician...

I need the great physician each and everyday. 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 Holy Spirit continue to lead me and guide me. I submit to you 🙌🏽. As I continue on my journey to wholeness.

This devotional is the light that shines the revelation light on ignorance ,legalism and the tradition of men. We have no righteousness of our except what Christ gives us. Our righteousness is as filthy rags before him.

It’s never by our works or religious routine . We need the great physician daily , for if the righteous scarcely make it in the kingdom then where does it leave the lost?

Believe it or not both the righteous and the lost have a free will decision DAILY that must be counted in the heavens.

So where does it leave any of us?

Choose ye this day whom you will serve is the Word of the Lord. Excuses are not valid to God because His Word says before the Second Adam returns, ALL WILL HAVE HEARD THE GOSPEL that a “CHOICE” be made!

When your number is called, an account will be given and that’s the order of it…

This made me think of when Jesus told us how to pray, including in that prayer “daily bread”. He is and has all the nutrients that we need. He provides the very nourishing essentials for our growth and maintenance of life. The Great Physician provides us with our protein, vitamins and minerals. My prayer today is that I keep the hunger that I have for God so that my spirit never becomes malnourished again. I have had seasons when my spirit was undernourishment because of my poor diet. I was either in my word and had no prayer life other seasons, I had a prayer life but I didn’t want to be in my word. I was robbing myself of…

The GREAT Physician is such an accurate introduction to who Jesus will always be.

I just thank God that he transforms a carnal mind into a spiritual mind! I just thank him that when I walked as a woman not needing any medications, I just had the blind ignorance that I was walking in complete healing!! Not realizing, I was at my sickest. I just praise Jehovah for being faithful over all. In the name of Jesus!! Hallelujah
