Galatians 5:22 NKJV
It was a regular Wednesday in God, I was ministering which is my first service to God while performing my natural vocation as a Sisterlocks consultant to a fairly new client.
New or established, I HAVE A WORD FOR YOU. I'm always ready, willing and obedient to lean in when I heard the Lord speak.
We're in conversation and we're discussing how there are those who see us after we've struggled and think to themselves that our life is just great because surely we're not struggling or have not gone through trails and tribulations.
It was in this moment that Holy Spirit shared with me "SUFFERING IS A FRUIT".
I did not challenge this thought at all, I continued to listen as I was being taught the topic on the fly.
Have you ever heard of someone say that they're good in God or they're blessed yet to you it seems like they're in need of breakthrough? Or maybe you've had someone say that they aren't committed to God because they've seen others who have lost so much after choosing to walk after God.
Well let me share this divine revelation with you, both of these examples are those who are in the fruit of suffering! Yup, you read that right! How you ask? Let's go to the Word of God.
Galatians 5:22 NKJV says:
“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,”
And there you have it. There is a "fruit" called longsuffering.
So what makes this place fruitful?? Well, you're suffering with Christ rather than suffering without Him due to acts of disobedience.
So you see, we can suffer WITH Christ or we can suffer WITHOUT Him. Which would you prefer??
So I heard Holy Spirit say that this is a fruitful place. Oftentimes because of the way of the world success and wealth are measured by worldly standards but the measurement of the Kingdom of God is determined by the currency of faith and your ability to partner with heavens Commander in Chief (Our Triune God).
The fruit of suffering is produced by the Holy Spirit who is God... Imagine that!
I challenge you to shift your perspective. Instead of viewing a place that looks like suffering as a means to complain, curse and manipulate God, let's view it as the metric used to qualify you in the heavens.
Check out this quick video as I explain a little more what the Lord shared with me on the "Fruit of Suffering".
Until next time...
Wait well.
