Running For Jesus!

Prophetic Meditation |

When we are found and saved by grace through faith in Jesus our lifelong response should be running for Jesus…

We’ve now matured past the ideal that salvation is self-focused and self-serving but rather Jesus-focused and Jesus-serving.

All across scripture we're provided key details needed to endure this race that we’re running.

Overtime during our maturation process some of us may have seen those along the way who’ve ran the race as a sprint and have become exhausted and weary and plain ol burnt out attempting to surpass and excel in speed rather than consistency.

We’ve seen some who were at the starting line of salvation and began to run without any strength training and no dietary changing resulting in spiritual dehydration, spiritual muscle failure and a deficiency in their will to persevere.

As mature believers running this race for Jesus as we follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in our individual ministries of discipleship there are some pointers that we can give our fellow runners and I’ll name a few.

1.) As we run for Jesus focus on Jesus!

2.) You’re not competing against me, you’re competing against yourself, so pace yourself!

3.) Eat on the Word day and night, chew it and meditate on it really good for best digestion...

4.) Hydrate on the presence and the power of Holy Spirit!

5.) Every trail and tribulation is producing strength and endurance.

6.) Rest in the Lord along the way, the race is His anyway.

7.) Lastly, the race is not given to the swift nor the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to men of understanding, nor favor to men of skill but time and chance happen to them all.

Now this race is not your typical marathon, there are races that we see where the runners are only focused on finishing the race for themselves…

However, scripture also tells us that if we the believers see that one of our fellow runners has fallen, we have a responsibility to try to get them up and running again, notice I said try… we won’t always be successfully in this however scripture has covered us in this matter as well!

I encourage all my fellow runners to focus on Jesus, eat in the Spirit, drink in the Spirit, endure the strength training, and rest in the Lord!

Blessings, 💜
