IDENTIFY & SPEAK TO THE MOUNTAIN

In today’s devotional, we’ll examine Mark‬ ‭11‬:‭22‬-‭24‬ ‭AMP‬‬ which says:

22: “Jesus replied, “Have faith in God [constantly].

23: I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea!’ and does not doubt in his heart [in God’s unlimited power], but believes that what he says is going to take place, it will be done for him [in accordance with God’s will].

24: For this reason I am telling you, whatever things you ask for in prayer [in accordance with God’s will], believe [with confident trust] that you have received them, and they will be given to you.”

Imagine being bullied when in reality you have the upper hand. This is TRUTH for every believer.

Let’s examine these verses of scripture and allow them to permeate our very being.

In verse 23, the word “SAY” is the Greek word epo which means “to speak with authority, to command, and it pictures a general or a king who stands before troops and gives a command or an order to them. It also means “to tell and to order”

The word “MOUNTAIN” here in the Greek is the word “oros” and it means “to rise, to lift up above the plain, and to rear up.

Now a mountain is an obstacle that rises, rears up, and blocks our pathway.

As heirs, we have the authority to command “mountains” of any caliber to GO, CHANGE, or MAKE CORRECTION in accordance with the Word & will of God!

Too often, we see the mountains in our lives but FEAR robs us of our just authority which has been delegated to us by Christ Jesus.

We are innately VICTORS! Can you imagine being a victor and not knowing it or simply not perpetuating the reality of it?

This is a fate that is by constitution NOT OUR PORTION!

With authority BOLDNESS arises, if with boldness from our positions of authority, we say or “epo” to every illegal, illegitimate, or demonic mountain (oros) by command it must obey!

Now, we’ve discussed the authority with which we can DO such a wonder but let’s examine the stipulations surrounding its success.

Verse 24 is the REQUIREMENTS for verse 23. First, we MUST (1)ask in accordance with God’s will then (2) believe with confident trust.

A grave misfortune is NOT knowing God’s will for your life. Throughout scripture, we are informed of both our natural and supernatural destines in accordance with the will of God as it is outlined in His divine constitution.

With this, we are armed with infallible truths that empower and embolden our commands against these mountains that present themselves as adversaries to our lives.

It is not God’s will that His people be victimized, enticed, or seduced out of what has already been foreordained and stored within the repositories of Heaven awaiting divine release.

As we approach the exodus of 2024 it is a GREAT time and opportunity to IDENTITY & SPEAK to any mountain and COMMAND with your kingly authority that it MUST GO, CHANGE or MAKE CORRECTION with the Word & will of God for your life!
