FAITH IS UNIVERSAL! HOW DOES THIS AFFECT THE BELIEVER?

I want to share with you a brief story… I went to a doctor's appointment one day and this particular day at the leading of Holy Spirit I wore two pins one on my jacket and the other on my purse.

The receptionist who checked me in noticed the one on my purse that read “have faith”! Excitedly, I showed her the one on my jacket that read “I can do all things through Christ”. To my surprise, her reaction and excitement drastically changed.

I immediately thought to myself “Okay, I expected her to be more enthusiastic even a greater measure than she was when she saw the first pin.

As the appointment continued, the lab tech was escorting me to the treatment room when the same receptionist from check-in met us in the hallways.

Her response was, “we’re twins” we have on the same pin, now at this point, I no longer had my purse across me as it was upon arrival so I had to put forth a bit more effort to show the lab tech what the receptionist was referencing. Stick with me, I’m going somewhere with this story.

The lab tech was disinterested which was not much of a surprise considering she was wearing an evil eye necklace around her neck.

Before the lab tech and I departed, the receptionist mentioned that we both also had on green that day, and to my surprise, the lab tech’s response was “green is for money” 🫨🙄

If you know me, then you know that my face spoke more than my mouth did!

Some encounter right? Well, let me tell you, at 4 am the next morning Holy Spirit spoke these words “FAITH IS UNIVERSAL”!

I nodded in agreement and was utterly blown away by what He said next. Next, He revealed that EVERY RELIGION HAS SOME MEASURE OF FAITH 🤯🤯

That revelation, as obvious as it should have been took me out! I began to then understand why He was sharing that with me.

You see, yesterday, I explained the God of faith but the receptionist did not! She believed “faith” or the “faith” of her god but not the God of my faith!!! 😮‍💨😮‍💨

So how does this affect the believer? Well— oftentimes we hear “god” or “faith” and we almost automatically assume that the conversation is in the direction of the Almighty God, His Son Jesus & His Holy Spirit.

Well, faith is NOT ENOUGH! It matters to know what and who your faith empowered.

This will be a difficult conversation for those who are not deeply seated and rooted in their faith in Jesus Christ as the Son of the Living God!

Notice that during my initial exchange with the receptionist, she did not acknowledge to who or what her faith applied however, during such an exchange it would have been quite easy for anyone to be in “AGREEMENT” with her.

Now the danger here is, what and who are you agreeing with?

Every religion and ancient practice has a deity and some measure of faith that empowers them.

As blood-bought believers, we MUST be BOLD in our vigilance to ensure that we do not unconsciously ally with a servant of another god!

The terms “faith” & “god” are NOT synonymous with JESUS THE CHRIST or the GODHEAD for that matter.

It is our responsibility to LOVE what the Almighty God loves and to HATE what the Almighty God hates!

In conclusion, take a moment to reflect on the words of Holy Spirit “FAITH IS UNIVERSAL”! Every religion has a god (deity) and some measure of faith to empower them.
