A bondservant of Jesus Christ…

The life of a bondservant is unique in origin because it’s not established by force but rather by covenant.

As bondservants of Jesus Christ, we have committed to devoting our lives willingly and freely without monetary gain for the further advancement of the kingdom of God. The very person of Jesus Christ!

I’ve learned over the years that there is a population of the denomination of Christianity that has not come to the full revelation of being a slave by force compared to being a slave by choice!

This servanthood ministry to Jesus is no ordinary workforce, we’re not designated the scraps and simply counted as laborers with no value but rather we’re friends of Jesus, who were allocated the good of the kingdom, and given a helper who dwells within us.

But to fully work this ministry a sacrifice of independence must be made and a dependence upon God must be each one’s driving force.

Being a bondservant for some takes years even decades of time, for others their commitment to long-suffering with Christ Jesus is established early on.

The message today is His burden is light for we do not contend alone in this sinful world but we serve a God who has already endured and shares in our sufferings. We are not comparable to mere slaves for He grants us rest, despise not resting in the Lord.
