TONGUE TALK: LOQUACIOUS TONGUE
BLESSINGS @everyone
Let’s get right into today’s #TONGUETALK (#10-2024)
Today we’re talking about the “loquacious tongue”.
What does it mean to be loquacious?
Loquacious means talkative or tending to talk too much. It almost always holds a negative connotation. The most frequent reflection of loquacious speech is that it’s UNNECESSARY!!
Now doesn’t that go directly against scriptural instruction to be slow to speak??
Why is it that we ought to be slow to speak? If the tongue weren’t a fire starter being loquacious might not be as unpleasant as it is.
It’s a sad reality that being loquacious does not correlate to edifying one’s listeners.
This tongue is often gossipy, chatty, over-talkative, gift of the gab, yakking, and more.
Sheesh—
Meditate on Proverbs 10:19 NKJV
“In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, But he who restrains his lips is wise.”
