The main characteristic of this form of tongue is “TACTLESSNESS”!

Today we’re discussing the “know-it-all tongue”! #TONGUETALK (#22-2024)

This was a great one and Holy Spirit has been teaching me concerning this without me even knowing, per usual! 😆

So, this tongue wants to be the center of attention. This tongue oftentimes is so knowledgeable that others tend to feel inferior when…

This tongue refuses to allow for someone else to give an explanation even when they already know the answer or instructions of a thing.

The greatest conflict for this tongue is edging on “pride”!! When one feels most valuable or superior when they are acknowledged for “knowing” a thing it becomes PRIDE!!

Let’s dive into our next form of tongue… #TONGUETALK (#21-2024)

Today we’re talking about that “gossip tongue”!

This tongue has the intention to share the (secret) affairs of others! This trap of the enemy has done a great job of diminishing the INTEGRITY of the people of God!

This tongue has hidden itself in plain sight as “common conversation” it’s often counted as “what’s the tea?” OR “spill the tea” when really what’s being spilled is INTEGRITY!

This tongue is vicious setting its target to not only speak gossip but to be so intriguing that you’ll “LISTEN”! This tongue and its influences are weapons of MASS DESTRUCTION!

Let’s dive right in to today’s #TONGUETALK (#19-2024). . . @Everyone

Today we are honing in on the “discouraging tongue”.

This one may most often be familiar with what many contribute to a “negative Nancy” or “Downer Dan”.

This form of tongue has absolutely no intention of speaking life. This form of tongue has deep seated and rooted issues that prevent them from not only encouraging but holding their peace when they have no faith in the person they’re encountering.

BE CAREFUL! This tongue has been known to STEAL, KILL & DESTROY many hopes, dreams and visions.

Here is today’s #TONGUETALK (#18-2024) , today we’re unveiling the “accusing tongue”.

Oftentimes, accusations have no proof, when evidence is accompanied the case is usually settled rather quickly not allowing the accusation to stand.

Accusation without some burden of proof is simply a “lie”.

Why is Satan referred to as the “accuser of the brethren?”

Because he imputes guilt or shame on us prior to searching out the evidence needed to vindicate us.

Let’s discuss the next usage of tongue. Today's tongue is that of the “boasting tongue”! #TONGUETALK (#20-2024) @Everyone

We all may know this one well.

I submit to you today that any tongue that acknowledges himself for any manner of things in boasting.

Now, I know that may sound harsh or maybe even too critical however, capture this, NOTHING DONE CAN BE DONE WITHOUT GOD!

And what’s been done is all for HIS GLORY!

Today’s #TONGUETALK (#16-2024) is about the “self-absorbed tongue”.

This one’s self explanatory, in the book of Esther we see Haman who was throughout the whole chapter consumed with himself and his possessions even towards his wife and daughter.

So let’s look at this practically, have you ever had a dialogue with someone and somehow the ENTIRE conversation was about them?

Even when you tried to get a word in the discussion somehow lead right back to them?

OR

Maybe there was a time in your life where you were the self-absorbed one…

Today we’re talking about the “argumentative tongue”!

This is the tongue that has its intentions on being quarrelsome.

The character of this tongue is to bring into question topics known to end in unhealthy debates or arguments.

This tongue has no intention on hearing the point of its recipient! When the argumentative tongue has run out of points to argue the result is character assassination and name-calling.

I thought it interesting that after reading on this form of tongue the writer spoke on being able to disagree without being disagreeable that we ruin our witness of Jesus!!

Today let’s discuss the manipulative tongue…

Check out this passage of scripture and see how manipulation changed the trajectory of its victim's life.

“Then Delilah pouted, “How can you tell me, ‘I love you,’ when you don’t share your secrets with me? You’ve made fun of me three times now, and you still haven’t told me what makes you so strong!””

As the chapter continues we know that Samson was vulnerable with Delilah and it costed him the glory of God.

Today’s #TONGUETALK (#16-2024) is about the “self-absorbed tongue”.

We are heading into today’s #TONGUETALK (#14-2024)! Today we are discussing the “doubting tongue”. @Everyone

I was prompted by God to study the word “doubt” according to scripture.

A familiar scripture is Mark 11:23 AMP which says

“I assure you and most solemnly say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be lifted up and thrown into the sea!’ and does not doubt in his heart [in God’s unlimited power], but believes that what he says is going to take place, it will be done for him [in accordance with God’s will].”

So I searched out doubt in this scripture in the interlinear Bible and it means:

To be at variance with oneself, hesitant.

For today's #TONGUETALK (#13-2024) we’re learning about today is the “judgmental tongue”!

The interesting thing here is judgmental tongues pass judgment on their own ideologies, motives, and methods when, when we judge we are to first earn the right to judge by covenant and then it must be according to God’s standards and not our own.

It’s like when one is rebuked… why? Are they being rebuked for violating the standards of God or man..?

So, imagine counting someone as slow, lazy, unintentional simply because they don’t do things the way “YOU” do…

Today we’re discussing the “indiscreet tongue”.

I often say that especially as Prophets we are given access to the secrets of God. This is not only in ministry or our spiritual life but it’s also in our natural lives as well!

A lack of discretion dishonors a man! It may seem like an advantage to reveal someone’s nakedness however it’d be wise to not that discretion is not a one way journey.

Today we’re talking about the “loquacious tongue”.

What does it mean to be loquacious?

Loquacious means talkative or tending to talk too much. It almost always holds a negative connotation. The most frequent reflection of loquacious speech is that it’s UNNECESSARY!!

Now doesn’t that go directly against scriptural instruction to be slow to speak??

Today we look upon the “slandering tongue”. During one of our prophetic classes we uncovered that the Hebrew word for slander was “blasphemia” and the Greek word is “diabolos” which gives us a GREAT understanding of what this tongue is intended to do.

Let’s also look at how this tongue operates when truth is involved.

Have you ever out of anger, pain or hurt speak out about someone with the intent to diminish their reputation? Maybe what you were sharing was ABSOLUTELY true yet you did not reveal it until there was conflict amongst you?

Our form of tongue today is the “complaining tongue”.

Have you ever heard someone tell you that it’s biblical that you shouldn’t complain?

“I cry aloud with my voice to the Lord; I make supplication with my voice to the Lord. I pour out my complaint before Him; I declare my trouble before Him.”

Today we discuss the flattering tongue.

What is it?

It’s a LIE covered with beautiful words. It’s a lie used to gain the favor of another. Our favor should be rooted in God not how well we can twist our words to stroke the ego of another.

One who flatters can have low self-esteem or low self-worth or can simply desire to gain your trust or allegiance.

Note that Satan sends a flatterer when he sees our vulnerability! We could be feeling unvalued, invalidated, overlooked, and or unattractive.

Today we’re discussing the “meddling tongue”…

This tongue is used with the intention of probing or prying into the personal business of others for selfish motives.

Unlike the gossip tongue, meddlers go straight to their targets with the questions that they seek answers to!

Oftentimes, the questions have no real value to the person asking but rather their inquiry is to pass judgements scrupulously…

Have YOU ever found yourself asking questions like, how much did you pay for that bag? How long are you going to be out of work? How bad is your diagnosis? When are you going to have children?

#TONGUETALK (#4-2024) We’re continuing with our microscopic look into the use of our tongues.

Today we’re discussing the “betraying tongue”.

The betraying tongue is not to be confused with the gossiping tongue. . .

Oftentimes the gossiping tongue is used more subtly by Satan to allow the speaker to diminish the effects of this sin yet the betraying tongue is usually released from a place of anger and vengeance!

This tongue is intentionally desiring to reveal the secrecy of others with the hope of causing hurt and pain.

Have you ever experienced the operation and/or effects of this tongue in your life?

What is the catalyst of a hasty tongue? Speaking too quickly to be thoughtful or wise.

A hasty tongue is easy to offend, why? Because when speaking in haste there is usually little to no thought put into what came out.

Not only is there death and life in that tongue, but what’s released cannot be taken back only reversed.

How about when we are hasty to respond in matters of commitment? Then we find ourselves battling letting your yes be yes and your no be no, after having committed to something God did not ordain or grant you permission for.

Let’s meditate on these scriptures today as we speak death to a “HASTY TONGUE”!

Today we’re focusing or DISUNITY or that Divisive tongue!!!

This tongue works for SATAN himself!! It’s the greates plan for Satan to cause DIVISION and when we operate in this way we do his bidding for him and ultimately our God is DISPLEASED!

The divisive tongue deliberately intends to bringing dissension being a breaker of peace rather than a participant of the “bond of peace” as described in Ephesians 4:3.

So today’s declaration is our tongue shall not engage in any divisive speech in the name of Jesus!!

In our daily interactions, let us be mindful of the words we speak, for they hold the potency to heal wounds or inflict pain. The manipulating tongue, like a serpent in the grass, can weave webs of deceit and sow discord among brethren. Let us instead strive to use our tongues as instruments of love, kindness, and truth.
