EL OLAM, OUR EVERLASTING & ETERNAL GOD!

Let’s reflect on a superlative verse of scripture from the book of Isaiah‬.

Isaiah 40‬:‭28‬-‭29‬ ‭AMP‬‬ reads…

“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth Does not become tired or grow weary; There is no searching of His understanding. He gives strength to the weary, And to him who has no might He increases power. [2 Cor 12:9]”

El Olam is a Hebrew name that unveils the facet of God meaning “eternal”, “everlasting”, “forever”, “lasting”, “ever” and “ancient”.

This name encompasses God’s everlasting and eternal nature. As we know, to truly understand what we confess we must first understand.

Eternal in the English language means lasting or existing forever; without end or beginning.

Everlasting means lasting forever or a very long time.

Let me draw your attention to this very important fact, though these two words can be used interchangeably there is a significant point that we should take away as they highly exalt our God.

God is both eternal, having no beginning and no ending, and everlasting, lasting forever. Eternal and everlasting encapsulates both time and space to which God is the sole occupant!

Let’s examine a few verses of scripture that further drive home today’s topic of meditation.

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭90‬:‭2‬ ‭AMP‬‬ says:

“Before the mountains were born Or before You had given birth to the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, You are [the eternal] God.”

Habakkuk‬ ‭1‬:‭12‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“¶Are You not from everlasting, O Lord, my God, My Holy One? We will not die. O Lord, You have appointed the Chaldeans [who rule in Babylon] to execute [Your] judgment, And You, O Rock, have established them to correct and chastise.”

Revelation‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭AMP‬‬

“I am the Alpha and the Omega [the Beginning and the End],” says the Lord God, “Who is [existing forever] and Who was [continually existing in the past] and Who is to come, the Almighty [the Omnipotent, the Ruler of all].”

Why is this important? I’m so glad that you asked… For the last few weeks, the Lord has been extensively training me in His Spirit and Presence and one thing that He has permitted me to share is this…

BEFORE ANY PROBLEM, SITUATION, CIRCUMSTANCE, ILLNESS, AFFLICTION, HARDSHIP, OR TRAUMA occur HE WAS, IS, AND WILL FOREVER BE!

If you could just lay hold of this spiritual truth, it is sure to unlock every door, chain, gate, or prison of oppression.

What would happen if you began to look at the unpredictabilities of life and declare and decree to it that before you existed, MY GOD EXISTED!

What if you told that diagnosis, that doctor, that problem that it has an APPOINTED END, BUT YOUR GOD IS ETERNAL AND EVERLASTING!

Can you imagine a shift in your mindset that would bring ALL THINGS UNDER SUBJECTION to God’s ETERNAL & EVERLASTING expression?

I challenge you to RENOUNCE & DENOUNCE every written or spoken word or agreement that is or has exalted itself above this truth!

ONLY EL OLAM can bring a thing to its expected end! He is the God who masters time, space, and seasons. Begin to declare into your situation and circumstance your understanding and agreement with God’s eternal and everlasting nature.

Spend some time with the Lord asking Him to reveal the things that have and even maybe that you have allowed to outlast God’s eternal and everlasting truth!
